Diana Hollmann is a Mercator Fellow on International Affairs focusing on topics concerning the interface between business and development. In the course of the one-year fellowship, she works on issues related to the advancement of inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship.
With a graduate degree in business administration she worked at a multinational company prior to returning to school. As a Fulbright student she completed her master degree in International Relations at the Maxwell School in Syracuse with an emphasis on Private Sector Development and Social Entrepreneurship. Diana has worked and lived in Germany, Jordan, South Africa, and Peru supporting local entrepreneurs and applied entrepreneurial skills herself developing and implementing junior enterprises. Prior to becoming a Mercator Fellow, Diana has worked with a diversity of institutions including the UN Industrial Development Organization, Ashoka and Dialogue Social Enterprise.
As part of her Mercator Fellowship, Diana has collaborated with the World Resources Institute's research initiatives around clean energy for the base of the pyramid. Currently, she works with the UNDP Egypt on the development of pro-poor business models and inclusive markets.
