Eradicating Poverty Through Profit - Full Conference Summary
April, 2005
World Resources Institute
This conference summary merges material from all plenary sessions and workshops, taking considerable license to bring together related ideas and comments in a synthetic framework. Following the conference summary is a special plenary report, 'How to Build a Successful BOP Business.' The section summarizes the two plenary sessions led by Stuart Hart, during which companies shared their experiences in creating BOP enterprises, and Prof. Hart discussed the development of a "protocol" that would serve as a guideline to successfully design and implement BOP business models. The document also includes a brief summary of each of the conference’s nine concurrent working groups. Hyperlinks are embedded throughout for easy reference.
