Root Capital seeks applications for an Investment Officer (IO) for South America. This IO, together with the Root Capital team, will be responsible for the following activities in South America: identify potential investments; analyze them using rigorous financial, environmental, and social criteria; execute them; and monitor them. The Investment Officer will be based in Root Capital’s regional office in Lima, Peru and have one or more Spanish-speaking countries in his/her portfolio; it is likely that this position will have a special focus on Brazil. Candidates should have experience with banking or with investment funds, possess a technical professional background, and be passionate about supporting the advance of Root Capital’s mission of conserving vulnerable natural resources and promoting equitable social development in rural areas of Latin America.
