Position Description &Duties:
I-DEV's 1st Year Associate Program is designed to give young professionals with previous experience in the traditionalbusiness sector first-hand experience at the heart of innovation in the social entrepreneurship sector. During this 1-yearprogram, I-DEV provides 1st Year Associates with a living allowance, work-related travel reimbursements,and potential conference attendance fee coverage. At the end of the program high performing Associates may beextended full time offers with I-DEV at full salary and signing bonus.
Business Development/Corporate Strategy Associates will work closely with I-DEV's Director of Business Development &Corporate Strategy and the New York team on a number of organization-wide strategies, conduct extensive marketing andclient research, write proposals and articles for publication, and develop strategy for both client-focused marketing effortsand online social media advertising. Associates will also have the opportunity to represent I-DEV at industry conferencesand networking events, and to participate in client meetings.
Qualifications:
Applicants interested in applying for the above position must have at least 2 years of experience in the traditional business orsocial entrepreneurship sectors, preferably in sales, marketing, strategy consulting, PR or other similar positions (or anMBA, or similar masters degree), as well as strong sales, industry research and business analysis skills. The candidate mustdemonstrate an established record of professional achievement and integrity, and the capacity for critical, creative, andentrepreneurial thinking. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to I-DEV's mission and be comfortable working inan entrepreneurial work environment. Strong business communications and persuasive writing skills are a plus.
