The Areas:
Strategy and design: The Strategy and Design team works in close contact with the founder and director group to ensure that KOMAZA delivers totally life-changing impact to farmers within a highly scalable program model. The team will conduct early-stage research on diverse new product and service offerings that can magnify the impact of KOMAZA's model, by offering high incremental revenue potential and fitting within the existing business model. Examples of this include: improved cook-stoves for KOMAZA's rural farmers and beyond, rainwater harvesters, non-tree crops, and short-term crops.
Value capture: The Value Capture team takes our farmers' raw tree logs, processes them into high-value products that are demanded in the marketplace, and coordinates sales. The team will also pursue contracts, coordinate logistics, and design, build, and manage processing infrastructure. The goal of the Value Capture team is to sell tree products to maximize per-farm profitability, while planning for a scaled supply of wood from tens of thousands of farmers.
The Roles:

- Early Stage R&D Associate: conduct early stage research to evaluate the potential of new product and service offerings to increase KOMAZA's impact and scalability
- Scaling Operations Associate: envision and design the full-scale Rural Cell operations and logistics model, as well as the intermediary, milestone-delineated, operational models
- Value Capture Director: lead the development & implementation of all Value Capture R&D and operations activities; share responsibility with the other Directors in laying the organization's foundation and deciding its strategic direction
Analysts commit to a minimum 3 months; associates commit to a minimum of one year; directors commit to a minimum of two years.
