Portuguese Language Fall Intern

Entrepeneurial Finance Lab- EFL Global

Internship Key Activities:

  • Become intimately familiar with small business financing market in Brazil
  • Work with the EFL Latin America team to prepare Brazil-specific and Portuguese language research and business development materials.
  • Work with the EFL Latin America team to prepare Brazil-specific and Portuguese language implementation materials.
  • Analyze EFL’s innovative client analysis tools in the Brazilian regulatory context
  • Supervise the formal translation process of the EFL Questionnaire, with special attention to how local context could influence understanding of questions.

Requirements

  • High fluency in Portuguese
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Interest in SME finance and/or Entrepreneurship in Brazil

Compensation Details/Other Benefits:

Interning with EFL provides significant exposure to the world of entrepreneurship, emerging market finance and for-profit social enterprise. We are committed to advancing the intern’s professional goals beyond EFL, and those considering graduate school will receive significant exposure to the Harvard Business School and Kennedy School. The Portuguese intern will be provided an hourly wage for work preparing for the launch of a new Brazilian client. Furthermore, though EFL cannot promise full time employment, we are eager to look to those who have spent time interning with EFL if and when new, full time opportunities emerge.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Flexible (Boston, Peru, Brazil) depending on applicant’s location, however cost of relocation is at the applicant’s expense.
  • Company culture is entrepreneurial, progressive, fast-paced and multinational. Communication is direct and concise.
  • Intern will liaise directly with the co-founders and senior management in Latin America.
  • Start date is ASAP through January/February 2013.
