I'll refer you to the methodology section of the report for a full explanation of the way we came to the size of each market. You have a valid point that the Indian demographics may show something slightly different. The key here is that we were attempting to create a universal standard that could be applied across countries. Nothing is perfect, and we are certainly open to new research and - even more - better data.

BOP may constitute a *significant %* of India's population, but to release a report that says over 95% of India's pop is BOP is pretty ridiculous-that too in 2007?! Pls refer to NCAER's research (or any other research firm for that matter) on the indian consumer demographics and you will see that the market is based on different segments wherein the middle classes are increasing very quickly and definitely constitutes anywhere b/w 50-350 million people depending on how you measure of course. I'm not sure how this ridiculous % was reached!

I enjoyed this thoroughly...My son for whatever reason, decided to take a swig of Mexican water from the Restroom Trailers we had rented and drove from the states...Of course it was filled with Mexico tainted water, long story short he nearly died... I commend D-Lab for their innovation...using baby bottles to cut cost and make purification cost effective for everyone deserves ra ra...thanks Good thing we didn't have Portable Sinks we'd be one short at the dinner table
