yunus the world's most trusted

I am not surprised to see yunus call for an entrepreneurial revolution at WB since my father's 1984 book written after 5 decades at The Economist timelined exactly such a system change to economics with 2008 the deadline if the world was going to escape major sustainability meltdowns http://www.normanmacrae.com/netfuture.html

I am a bit surprised that for 3 years in row now our survey of world's most trusted person has ranked Yunus clearly number 1 - not personally surprised that is but staggered by Washington's apparent disinterest in such findings

I enjoyed this thoroughly...My son for whatever reason, decided to take a swig of Mexican water from the Restroom Trailers we had rented and drove from the states...Of course it was filled with Mexico tainted water, long story short he nearly died...
I commend D-Lab for their innovation...using baby bottles to cut cost and make purification cost effective for everyone deserves ra ra...thanks

Good thing we didn't have Portable Sinks

Dear Sir/madam,

We are working in drinking water sector in Bangladesh. Our vision is to serve the safety
Drinking water. I think you know now our country is facing a great crisis of safety drinking water. Because few days ago Tropical Cyclone “SIDR” hit the southeast part of our country and killed ten thousands of people, damaged houses and also drinking water sources. Now they are very much needy for drinking water. Bangladesh government and various non govt. Organization is participating to help them, but it is not sufficient. We are also supplying the drinking water. We have also not enough capacity to serve the drinking water.

Therefore it is our request if you have any scope to help the homeless people of Bangladesh ,you can contact us. Your simple help can save a life.

Thanking You.

With kind regards

Re Micro Loans in Russia

An indication of the success of collateral free micro credit in Russia is found in a component of the Tomsk Regional initiative which was funded by US Aid. Showing repayment rates of over 98%, it's been operating from around 1998.

Targetting women is a good idea, given the nunber who support families on their own. It's a country with no shortage of accountants who would readily be trained to administer such services in place of expensive imported consultants.

Here, a Russian professor makes the case for economics education:
