The biggest challange to Governance, security and stability is the growing number of unemployed persons -particularly among the youth in developing countries. The saying that an idle mind is the devils workshop rings true - an idle body is ready for war, terrorism and civil war. Most efforts at community engagement and "corporate social responsibility" ignore dealing with issues like job creation, generating creative and innnovative entrepreneurship, or the self-sustaining ability for the youth. Can business rethink new engagement and developmemnt models that create capacity, value and participation for this group?

Hi, I am a senior manager with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition and will participate in the September conference. I would be interested to meet people who are working on BOP strategies in the food and beverage sector. GAIN has exprience in many countries and we would like to share it with others. As we know BOP spending on food is critical around 50% in Nigeria annd 55% in Pakistan but what are companies strategies to meet the need and to deliver added value in terms of nutrition benefits. GAIN will organise a conference on this theme next year and I would love to discuss with people working in this field either online or during the conference. Regards Berry
