OUTSOURCING to Mexico instead of India: Having worked for a Fortune 500 Software Develoment company for the past 23 years, I watched closely the softwware outsourding trends. I know that millions of dollars, actually Pesos, flow annually from Latin, Central and South American banks, to companies like my employer, US-based ACI Worldwide, for software enhancements. Those dollars actually actually end up in India, and more recently, Eastern Block countries such as Rumania who provide software develoment through outsourcing contracts. ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: TSAI) began outsoucing our 'high tech' development in the 90s, and proved that banking softwre is no longer rocket science. We successfully trained hundreds of non-US based individuals to support the world's most sophisticated realtime banking software. Today, it is time for companies like ACI to join the leadership of Creative Capitalism, and redirect the outsourcing education and jobs South of the Border. The US does not have serious immigration pressure from India, or Rumania. But we have huge immigration pressure from Latin, Central and South American countries where governments have all but abandoned their people. I would like to suggest a two-part "outsourcing" strategy: 1) Education VISAs to legalize temporary entry into the US and 2) Job Creation South of the Border. I would like to suggest that Mr. Gates take the lead, incenting US-based software companies to begin a major 'South of the Border' outsourcing initiative. US companies should offer education VISAS, bring young people in from South of the Border, train them, set up US Bank Account relationships, use direct payroll depost for education/on the job training, and employ successful trainees once they return to their home country. Most immigrants from Latin/Central/South America come here because jobs are here. If you offer them jobs in their own country, they would much prefer to stay with their families, enjoy their culture, and work hard, knowing their is a job for them in their own country. The major issue is getting dollars directly into the hands of the individuals, circumventing the corrupt governments. Establishing direct deposit payroll banking relationships is a secure way of insuring that salaries are paid directly to individuals. From the US company payroll, funds can be directly transfered to banks in Mexico, Columbia, El Salvador, etc. The company I worked for, ACI Worldwide, is the leading provider of Banking EFT (Electonic Funds Transfer) software. We sould be using US techology to create jobs South of the Border, ease immigration pressure by allowing individuals to make a living within their own country, and build a future that strengthens the Canada, the US and South America, into an Americas Economic Union.
BILL GATES and CREATIVE

BILL GATES and CREATIVE CAPITALISM – AN ADDENDUM

While Gates has faith in technological advances to heal the pain of world poverty, the long-term answer really lies in shifting human consciousness, and on the capitalist front, broadly affecting behavior at the corporate level. As he continues to promote progress, Bill Gates should adjust his challenge to include such paradigm shift in consciousness over the longer time horizon.

I agree with the above but up to the present no one has thought of a quick way to equalize wealth..from the rich to the emerging class to the poor...

It does require a revolution in thinking ..creativity.

It's simple you start with the emerging class using none physical online products...they are free to research free to develope. from public domain information and free to send ...
It's a concept used all the time on the internet ( eg google;ebay;clickbank )

But it is very hard going to convince the NGO's...

 ..another 5 years ?!ceo startup-poor
