 <description>you might call them &amp;#39;producers&amp;#39;, like you might call henry ford a &amp;#39;producer&amp;#39;. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; but, &amp;#39;producer&amp;#39; denotes a complete lack of relationship with the people of the BOP. only &amp;#39;customer&amp;#39;, &amp;#39;supplier&amp;#39; and &amp;#39;competitor&amp;#39; connote any kind of business relationship. but, given their scale, &amp;#39;supplier&amp;#39; and &amp;#39;competitor&amp;#39; is rather less likely than &amp;#39;customer&amp;#39;. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;so, you may market products to them because they are &amp;#39;producers&amp;#39;, but their status changes to &amp;#39;customer&amp;#39; once you build that relationship. and, if you want to engage the BOP, then you have to look toward building a relationship with them - and that means making them a &amp;#39;customer&amp;#39;. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; a &amp;#39;producer&amp;#39; is somebody out there i&amp;#39;ve heard about; a &amp;#39;customer&amp;#39; (or &amp;#39;potential customer&amp;#39;) is someone i want to serve.&lt;br class=&quot;clear&quot; /&gt;</description>
