I am a student at Bronson school of entrepreneurship and I intend to start my business soon. hi there! my wizzit card was stolen i am a student at nelson mandela metropolitan university in port elizabeth, i went to our financial aid office to report it and i found this site adn thought that it would assist me in cancelling the card so that i can get a new one please, because the bursary i recieve for my studies pays money in there for transport and to buy my stationary. i am stressed please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kiki, Hi. I read your post after reading about Wizzit technology. I am excited that you want to bring this model to West Africa becuase I truly believe this is the future of banking for the "unbanked". Currently, I am a graduating senior studying finance at Loyola University in New Olreans. I worked for over 4 months in Ghana where I was exposed to the microfinance industry. I plan to make a career within microfinance, however there are extremely limited opportunities in the United States. I would like to be a part of creating a Wizzit type model in West Africa. I cannot get this USSD service to work on this phone.. It opens the first two menu's up succesfully,but thereafter it wont go any further and responds 'failed' Please,any help in this regard would be great, because I have to use this card like any other card...no mobile banking for me. Its a new phone the Samsung i600, so I cant understand why it will not work..because even very old phones can do this> Best wished Kevin ps Your service is gr8!

Good Morning, I saw the program on tv 2 with Oudi AFrican views it was so interesting, am a retired white lady. I need to save as much as I can for retirement, how do I apply and what benefits are there, as I do have an existing bank for 15 years and am very disappointed that the charges are still that high, and feel I dont get any prefer treatment for all those years of supporting this bank Diane

My mom who is unemployed and does not have much of an education has been introduced to this product. She was told that this is endevour by an overseas company wanting wanting to better the lives of south Africans. What i don't understand is that she was told she is going to receive a monthly income with this account R3000 per month and if she introduces more people the amount will increase to R6000 per months. The package apparently also comes with monthly groceries. This does not sound real and i don't think it would be fair to raise poor people's hopes like that.

I am so impressed with this product. My son now has a bank account with Wizzit and while I sit in Port Elizabeth I can send money to him instantaneously onto his Wizzit Maestro card in Cape Town - at the lowest cost possible. Compared to the prices the other South African banks charge Wizzit is FAR CHEAPER. Why is this company not advertising on the television? It will change the way the poor bank. Or actually the world. It is such a good invention. Well done whoever had the know-how to make such a clever way to move money safely and quickly. I wish I was your partner! All the best, Faizel Stroby.

Kiki, your best bet in terms of implementing a Wizzit-like model in West Africa is to contact the firm yourself - start with Brian Richardson - or you may want to get in touch with the CGAP people (Consultative Group to Assist the Poor) at the World Bank Group. They have a fast-growing m-banking practice and would be a great place to start.
