Organization: Grassroots Capital Management/Gray Ghost Fund manages microfinance investments that seek to achieve medium and long-term capital appreciation together with a positive social impact through private equity investments in microfinance investment vehicles and microfinance institutions located around the world.
Job Description: There is an opening for a Junior Equity Analyst who can be based in New York. The successful candidate will form part of a small and growing team based in New York and London and should relish the challenge of helping to create a new standard of excellence in equity investment in microfinance.
This position works closely with the US and UK teams to build, monitor and manage the portfolio, and generate the necessary internal and external reporting. The position reports to the Investment Partner based in NY.
The ideal candidate will be an internationally minded, flexible individual who is interested in microfinance. He or she should have experience as an analyst in corporate finance program or junior analyst research department, some valuation experience and be highly proficient in excel. The ability to work in Spanish, French, Russian or Arabic would be a distinct advantage.
