Grace, I found your comment very interesting. First of all, it's just amazing to think that this presentation is 5+ years old. ICICI's business model has changed a lot since. I think you might want to look at SKS Microfinance in India and at Grameen Bank in the USA for case studies on how to maintain a focus on BoP customers while beginning to reach out to the middle market as well. Does anyone else know of good microfinance examples that are moving up the pyramid?

Hello, I find ICICI's business model interesting because it depends on 1) charging an interest rate level between commercial banks and village lenders and 2) empowering women in the community. How could we adapt this model to serving people above the bottom of the pyramid? How could we grow this bank to maintain the base customer yet reach out to higher income borrowers?
