I am a curent Peace Corp volunteer in Nicaragua and I am interested in the process of coco-conversion. The same environment exist ie: abundant coconut trees and heavy soil erosion, and I would like more information on this if it is available. The idea is beautiful. Thankyou Lucas Brown

In Brazil, the Poverty and Environment in Amazonia Research and Development project (POEMA) formed an alliance with the DaimlerChrysler car company. Through research, POEMA identified the use of coconut fibers in automobile headrests as a viable product and developed a low-technology production method for use by local populations.
