Activity Description: As part of its mission to demonstrate and advocate the sustainable use of technology to reduce poverty in developing countries, the Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG) has introduced a small electric grinding mill for the production of peanut butter.

In countries such as Zimbabwe, where the majority of small-scale peanut butter producers are women who manually grind peanuts using stones, ITDG offers rent time on the machine to entrepreneurs, or assistance in accessing credit for the purchase of a mill to co-operatives like Fadzavanhu Enterprises.

Technical advice, business, and marketing training are also offered by ITDG.
