Managing Organization: Biogas Sector Partnership

Activity Description: Biogas Sector Partnership is an NGO that has developed a cooking stove for rural Nepalese that operates on the methane produced when cow dung ferments. It subcontracts the installation of its cooking stoves in Nepalese homes to over 50 independent companies. It charges a price to families who purchase the stove, which the Dutch aid agency DGIS partly covers. Although the stoves have a high upfront cost for Nepalese families, microfinancing schemes and savings from ceased daily dependence on wood fuel make it affordable.

Hello, My name is Slavisa Vasic, and I represent a NGO active in civil society sector in Kosovo. Since Kosovo safers from a similar lack of energy, I was wondering my self is it possible to address the need for biogas power plants here or somwhere else? If it is possible, we will apply with projects for micro or mini biogas power plants (green power). So, if there any possibilities or even useful information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you in advance. Slavisa Vasic Chief Executive Movement for Civil Society Development Kosovo vasa038@gmail.com
