Overview
What is the new paradigm for business innovation? In their new book, The New Age Of Innovation: Driving Co-created Value Through Global Networks (McGraw-Hill, 2008), authors C.K. Prahalad and M.S. Krishnan explore how old business models are being turned upside down by global networks and customer-centric strategies.

Gone are the days that a company produced a single version of a product using only resources that the company itself controlled. Instead, companies need to look to their customers to help co-create valuable products and services, and turn to the global supply chain for the resources to produce unique and innovative goods and services based on that customer interaction.

This series of morning seminars hosted by InformationWeek is dedicated to the principles examined in the new book, The New Age Of Innovation.
TechWeb editor Bob Evans will present the concepts and unique insights discussed in the book, including references to real-world examples and case histories. Following this presentation, Bob will lead a discussion on the specifics of the authors' new paradigm, their formulas for innovation, and what it means for old-line companies as well as entrepreneurial startups. Bob will also address how this new paradigm will affect the use of information technology, and the role of IT executives, in the future.
